I wonder since a lease is a performance contract in a form, what would happen if the place was flooded and not habitable, then the LL deducted rent  with that bad timing, is there extra liability involved or punishable liablity?

Process is the same as the first.The first bank doesn't "punish you" because you already have a property since if they funded the first property it's because it makes money so you are in a better position when you buy your second then you were your first - right?

Longview itself doesn't have growth potential, we are a bit of gluttons for punishment to live or invest here.As far as safety, the college butts up against a nice neighborhood, but also against a park where homeless people sleep.
