So I read last week the politicians in Richmond, VA voted down a bill to stabilize rent in the state.

Like a politician, he either knows the truth and is lying or he's an idiot.   

The police force is 90ish cops short.  2) The real estate taxes in Portsmouth are the most expensive of any city in our market.3) The politicians are corrupt and unruly. 

The stock market dropped 28% over the course of half a year, they got tons of pushback from politicians who cared only about how things made them look and not the long-term health of the economy, and they were strong-armed into stupidly slashing rates again in 2019 even though inflation and unemployment were perfectly healthy, just to make the stock market look good as an election approached.  

Our nutty politicians and tenacious NIMBY's are doing their damnedest to slow new projects down, which of course helps keep current property values up, up, up.

You might have better luck searching for incarcerated politicians. 

I'm guessing many were politicians immune from layoffs.

The downside of that is too obvious for our beloved politicians of either party.

My view is the state politicians are slightly anti STR, but so far not enough to pass anything extremely anti STR.
