It seems like that would be a question to ask the attorney that set up the trust up.Can you not get courtroom legal defense from the attorney that set this up - or is this person just telling you comply with the subpoena you have no choice ? 

We are not currently offering PM services to other land lords in the market, but I think that the market is ripe to disrupt this space as there are very few seasoned operators that are set up for out of state investor's to actually hit pro forma rents and expenses.

@Robert Schwenkler We set up those gaps, when needed, in our Property Management system.

If someone had enough time to set up a meth lab in your rental property or devise an organized drug ring in one of your units, you suck as a property manager!

Have any of you guys with larger portfolios (in local areas, not remotely) considered bringing on staff and/or contracting with specific trades to do the PM duties, thus having more control but not necessarily more personal time input once set up?

Based on what I have heard/read thus far, it seems like I don't need a formal legal structure such as LLC for running this is as an active business (but I may set up an LLC for asset protection, which is allowed by my mortgage lender).

They setup to assist clients from all over the US and have great online/mobile banking system so you don't even need to go to a branch for your banking needs.

It's set up as follows ('We' being Phil and I, 'They' being the financing company):We find the deal and we use our finances to find the deal.We can find the deal however we'd like.  

My 401k is set up with uDirectIRA.

I would like the system set up where the tenant pays for the utilities.
