Anyone have thoughts on moving the two thermostats to the hallway, putting them on my phone for monitoring via wifi with a lock of of xx degrees, and including it in the rent?

We dont accept vouchers (aka Section 8) so I spend a lot of time copying and pasting, "sorry we dont accept vouchers for this property"Now this is specific to my market in Byran / College Station, Tx and might not be the same for you.

Personally I’m not enough of a people person to want to be a realtor and as I’m middle age and had a different background of experience coming out of college this type of work has been perfect for me.

It 100% depends on your goals.not to be facetious, but if you are asking because to watched a YouTube video, the answer is I would not get into STRsif the purpose is you have long term goals of investing in real estate, you enjoy hosting, and you want a place near your daughters college for when you visit, the answer might be that it’s great.it’s a mature market now.

If anyone plans on doing short term rentals to some degree or building additional living space, then this is imperative. 

I remember when I got out of college and started with a bank, my learning curve was steep and I made a lot of mistakes.

And you'd be throwing the "book" back at Congress :) Us CPAs/EAs do as well (some more than others), I personally have a Master's degree in the field with a focus in tax on top of my CPA if that tells you education levels required.

The 3 of the first 4 are within a .1 of a mile the other 3 are across a major street in a neighborhood closer to an area college.
