Be on the lookout for the same thing to happen to Stockton in another decade as long as the city's leadership stays on track and doesn't run itself into a ditch like it did the previous two decades.Eventually Sacramento will get pricey too, and if Stockton pulls off their Open Window Project and turns around the downtown scene, it'll be the last spot in Northern California for affordable housing that Bay Area millennials will be willing to stomach.

I feel like it's a shell game or three-card monte that the city/county/state leadership is playing-"look over here at the 'housing crisis' not at policies that have actually exacerbated the problem"I totally agree in the short term that rents have softened (although I just finished a rehab in one of my rentals and went for $1,000/mo to $1,495 so I'm pretty happy there!!)

Even when leadership's direction went against his principles??

You are no longer just an asset owner.Your job is to demonstrate leadership.

Currently, the city leadership is making a push to bring more high paying tech jobs to the city.

I also read alot of books on the subject and other books in general having to do with management, leadership, and mindset.  

Most likely, the borrower is a friend, member of same Rotary club or church, or something similar, with bank leadership, and they don't want to be the one to foreclose on the borrower.

The process takes some effort and a lot of leadership, but you can capture the value that create by owning a significant amount of property.You can buy into a bad area and follow best practices to help restore the neighborhood.
