Could the rental places through in some small extra by doing the same?

The highest performing short-term rentals have a design eye, their photographs weren't shot by an amateur's iPhone, and they offer more than one extra that others aren't (hot tub, sauna, views...).Create a differntiated Airbnb, and you'll outperform others ... be that first page or second or third.

However, I have a Fannie Mae owned mortgage and the mortgage servicer has advised that Fannie Mae may not allow that "double layered" ownership.

Obviously this depends on the amount of your loan, when you start to pay the extra amount, etc.

For example, I’m doing three side by side duplexes and it’s costing me $135 psf, but I had to spend an extra $10k per foundation because of bad soil, and the smaller the property the higher the cost psfI’m working on a 28 unit with elevator, demo required, green roof, and it’ll cost me around the same psf as the duplexes.I’m doing three side by side triplexes which are full renovations, basement digout, all new facades, and that’s costing me about $106 psf for construction Non of these numbers include architecture, geotech, MEPS, environmental, utility plan, or finance costs

An asset protection plan is an excellent start but so many layers to this question.  

I will just be adding an extra loan which is what worries me a bit.I’m looking for away we can start small and grow as we continue.

Is the lawyer just being extra, extra careful...or are there typical scenarios where having it registered in NV will help for a property located in CA? 

He missed the target by nearly a month and we ended up paying holding costs, HOA, Utilities etc for an extra 6 months until finally selling in the spring for a reduced price.
