What brand on Airbnb would even have enough perceived value to make it all worthwhile?

You only get a single point of contact for everything all encompassing, and unless they are 100% competent(not even proficient) you are screwed.

I am still a bit leery about Safeguard's relationship with this particular borrower and even the closing agent.

Even if these relationships don't go anywhere, you'll get a lot from just having a couple of calls.Next I would try to find some local investment groups/communities and try to chat with as many investors as you can to get an idea how other's started out in your market.

It seems a traditional sale gobbles up half of it in closing costs.We refinanced early last year, and another refi would cost ~$5k, plus w/ the LTV, I don't think the numbers work out just right.Too bad we were too naive to even consider those offers when they were handed to us.

Multi-family for me has been the way to go and has left me assurance that even during vacancy, I will be covering most of my mortgage. 

I couldn't imagine how hard this would have been to navigate if property were even 1 hour away.

If the new administration actually enacts their policy stances on tariffs, immigration, trying to ignite the economy even more....all of those things add up to higher inflation.
