As the home sits today it is a 9 bedroom 8 bathroom duplex with 8 rooms have their own separate entrances to the exterior.

Does the home have side by side entrances?

Hi, I'm looking for some recommendation for some light fixtures for the indoor entrance and the dinning room for my rental. 

@Eric Piccione Side-by-sides tend to provide more privacy than up/down duplexes; you have your own separate entrances and it's easier to have separate garages and yards with that setup.

In NJ you can have a clause that allows entrance into the property to fix items that are deemed an emergency or major safety concern.

It is not an ADU, the tenant of the apartment is legally my roommate, but they have their own entrance, bathroom and kitchenette.* I do not want to live in this house long-term, I’d rather move to a nicer neighborhood. * I am willing to do the work of being a landlord, keeping up the property, etc.

@Jason D.After looking at different ideas to convert areas into rooms there is 1 room that can the turned into another bedroom and then the garage could be turned into a 1 bed 1 bath “ mother in law” attached house with its separate entrance.

It is a corner unit with the ability to add an egress door for a potential entrance to a basement studio unit.

Its a single family with an an attached separate entrance in-law apartment. 

It has its own exterior door and another entrance into the master through one of the other Bedrooms.
