I bought a SFR in Alaska a few years ago, I asked about the furnace and the agent pointed to a freestanding white metal box, next to the wall in the dining room, that was about the size of a large printer.

A umbrella will not only provide protection from a liability suit resulting from property damage or bodily injury, but a lot of umbrella policies offer very broad coverage for such things as libel/slander suits that are not covered by a standard policy.

Each unit has concrete flooring, with lockable metal roll-up security doors.

Our first year goal was to own one rental unit that met all our criteria.  

Tenants terrace has 3 doors 1) window door, 2) terrace screen door and 3) metal door, all able to open at free will. 

Essentially the only types of investments that may not be held inside an IRA or a 401k are the following:Artwork,Rugs,Antiques,Metals - with exceptions for certain kinds of bullion,Gems,Stamps,Coins - (but there are exceptions for certain coins),Alcoholic beverages, andCertain other tangible personal property.

It should last in the 3-4 year mark which for the price is a good return.Avoid the metal flip down ones like the plague they dont last and tend to bend and flip over more times then not.

The repair products have no real structural strength, so after you do the repair you still have to wrap the sides with a metal repair plate or sister'd wood beams.If you had a picture and a description of where this is, it would be easier to advise.

Even just part time and my money could have been working for me much better than leaving it in the stock market and precious metals.
