We love pets, but some pets ruin floors, chew and claw on doors, and this does take capital expenditures to repair, so the next tenant (who may be allergic) can enjoy their stay.

Do you think you bit off more than you can chew and might need to pick up the phone and settle your differences, that maybe it's not the county clerk's fault he/she seems utterly useless?

If your property goes up in value 10-20%... you have magical cost that chews away at your profits... commission, holding cost, buyer closing cost (because more buyers buying a market priced property have little cash to close and are using fha), tick tact stuff, etc...I guess my point is unless you create significant value to the property or the market takes off like a rocket, we shouldn't forecast any kind of significant profit.

A couple years ago a friend told me this business is all about eating a poop sandwich when it’s handed to you (it was a variant of the word poop, actually) and I’ve chewed on that (pun intended) from time to time myself.

Dogs, scratch floors, chew woodwork and pee on carpets but not as bad as cats.

It's the factor worker / blue collar career that began in the 1870s and gradually morphed in the 1960s-70s into the corporate American white collar career.But some of us are weirdos and really want to sink our teeth into life and tear a hunk out of it, chew it up, and see how good it tastes.100- 400 years ago we would have been pioneers, leaving family, friends, and a known way of life behind to strike it out on a dusty trail that was fraught with peril and no guarantees. 

They also caused a pest issue (that has been resolved), but these pests chewed through the shower wall in the master bathroom, and the tenants just taped it over.To me, it seems warranted to take the whole deposit at the moment.
