Plus selling the products is a form of industry - in my area, it is not unusual to go to a nursery and look at the tag on a plant to see that the origin is from the Pacific northwest.

You can always take a few pictures and go to a local nursery and have them give you some ideas. 

You will run into the following: independent nurseries, people doing work on their yard and trying to unload their plants, really cheap potted plants from people who are unable to care for their plants anymore.

Do you guys think that I could rent out the land to be used as a plant nursery or something like that?

I just sold one of my businesses, and with those funds paid off our farm where I operate a tree nursery.

In other areas of beautiful and cheap land, there are groundwater contamination zones in certain places due to chemicals used in the 70s and before on golf courses and nurseries.
