When other people break their promises, the responsibility falls on us to compensate.The only thing that was risked by your action was a minor irritation to the tenants which, if true, would probably have had no impact on their existing stockpile of free-floating irritation.

This will either allow you to live rent free or at minimum a reduced rate, allowing you to stockpile funds for future investments. 

Going back to my previous point, I believe a correction in multifamily is coming and I want to stockpile liquid assets in order to capitalize on this correction in the future in order to grow my multifamily portfolio with quality properties.  

Many people build up their stockpile by wholesaling.

I wouldn't save one big stock pile of money then start making many purchases though.

Paying down a mortgage is stockpiling cash, actually closer to hoarding cash. 

You may not have repairs now but surely you'll have repairs as tenant turnovers and you'll want some money stockpiled in case that furnace goes out in February or the Dryer stops working etc etc. 

Oftentimes, these folks are looking to dispose of excess material from the project sites and/or have stock piles at their yard.
