I know some agents that just farm their little area and that's all they need.

So I have begun to invest in the farm.

State Farm and Obie Insurance are who I typically use for investment properties.

Alamosa Investor here -I've had good luck with Jay Myer at State Farm as well as Zach Horning with Horning Insurance - both locals!

You can also get a specific STR policy done by some of the bigger ones (State Farm, etc.). by looking into things with an insurance broker that can shop around for you.

I was looking at pipe farms  IE completed subdivisions in Henry county for 1k per lot.. thats 1k per lot  100 lot project for 100k heck it cost 30k a lot just to do the improvements..

I am getting conflicting offer of home owner insurance by one broker and State Farm agent telling me home owner insurance is for primary residence, not for rental property.

Hi Jay,Well the whole thing is a disaster and yes, I would have NEVER agreed to a policy that included a 6ft let alone a 24 hours security guard especially in the small town of Colusa, yes in a small farming community.
