If you are using RE investing to try to avoid going to school, your intentions are not in the correct place.

I went to high school and college there. 

However, prices on $1M homes haven't really appreciated all that much and we are looking to move to something much smaller near where our kids go to school. 

I went to school at Washburn and my thoughts and numbers are pretty thin in Topeka.

I became a realtor, what I would love to do is move to a place like Mexico but I have kids still in school. 

You might’ve rate-shopped a bit early, but it’s not a deal-breaker.

High interest rates are deal killers IMHO.

Most cities have areas with lower crime and better schools.

@Nathan Harden- agree about OH ....I went to school at Miami U and lived in columbus area for a few yrs  ...many friends that still live there ......I live in Seattle proper ( near  Magnusson Park ...also  own  2  properties in Mason County ......father in law lives on  close to 10 acres close to downtwon Medina so we will be dealing with  figuring out the  best thing to do with this  as he gets  older ( he is  83 now) ...stay in touch
