This way you can afford to stay in the nicest hotels  and eat at great restaurants. 

I like to take weekend trips up to the Windham NY area because there is lots to do up there (Ski, hiking, kayaking, restaurants, vineyards, breweries etc).

But make sure they will revert to you if the tenant's account is shut down for lack of payment.I continue charging the previous tenant for rent until the new tenant takes over.

The area is a bit cheaper, but appears to be on it's way up, has restaurants/bars, is near the river and other areas like Bay View and 3rd Ward.Best of luck

You also might be able to get away with a once a year Christmas card that has a $25 (nominal amount) gift card to a decent restaurant to thank them for their business.
