Unless she brings something to the table in terms of REI expertise like a background as an agent, property manager, rehabber, or has the ability to find discounted off market deals or is at least super sharp and really passionate about a starting a new career in REI or something, I don’t see any reason why RE would be a better option than speaking to Vanguard and parking it in a high yield dividend index fund, if it isn’t already in something similar.

For me real estate is a career, it is my passion and I invest over 60 hours a week to my company and brokers.

Sounds like you’ve got the background and a passion so you’d likely be successful as long as you have the drive.

My problem is I don't have a high-paying job to back into like a lot of investors on BP and my only other passion is a career with low earning potential (film directing), so I feel like adding value through doing my own work is a great way to make this a full-time gig sooner than later while maybe supplementing our income with part-time work or start contracting for others once I get more experience.

Because of my passion for hospitality I would like to know the best places for short term rentals, but I also plan to do long term rentals as well.

I am looking to make a career out of real estate as soon as possible as I have developed a passion for it now that I know the results it could help bring me and my family.

Hello everyone,I am seriously considering getting my license and become an agent but would like to try it out part-time at first to make sure it a good fit for me and my family, but more importantly, it will help me leave my very stable job for a career that I would be much more passionate about. 

I must concur architecture is a tough profession that requires a lot of you, but can be rewarding if you have the passion for it.
