People always long for the days of yesteryear and idolize the past. 

It's not over until the end of their lease term, or the rerenting of their unit earlier, or the remaining tenant agreeing to accept 100% responsibility for the unit.

The smaller one is a great mid term rental right now.  

I would echo most of the above in terms of screening process/flow.
