At least on Airbnb, I believe women make up a majority of all hosts and female hosts have higher property ratings according to Airbnb.

Its seems that that is pretty high monthly income so your pool of tenants is going to be smaller. and one more thought - this thread is possibly biased against the female being the bread winner.... if this were reversed - where the man worked and the woman was at home - I think you would be getting very different responses....

The tenant had mentioned a female had been awarded the room, so I figured it may have been a preference to sex, which I understand to be protected under fair housing.

@Cody LeCates  Just about every city has its version of rough 'hoods and, of course, "rough" is subjective and just an opinion, but how I determine whether a neighborhood is rough (or a warzone as @Wes Blackwell mentioned), and this is from my perspective as a female is 1: will I drive through it alone. 2: Will I drive through it and get out of my car alone.
