Walls are yellow from smoke , grease all over oven . ( trash it ) I set off 6 bug bombs , tomorrow I will bleach the entire house and set up a heater to get the building hot enough to kill the bed bugs .

No hot water, stove not working, no heat, broken windows, door locks not working, loose railing, no lighting in common areas, garbage not in dumpster, no smoke/co2 detectors, etc. anyway that has been our experience.

I've called Birmingham's Housing Authority at least five times last week and I either didn't get an answer or they tell me they don't know...I think any landlord can rent section 8 but the property has to have certain requirements like running water, hard wired smoke alarms, flush toilets and a roof that isnt collapsing.

I did a room addition in CA and the building and planning department called out retrofitting the original house for earthquake and also installing hard wire smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the house.
