I'm still involved in finish selection because I have fun with the process, but I bring on an expert to ensure there is a good variety of textures and materials and that we are executing a more timeless design. 

I am looking for a drywall guy who can do a resurfacing job, not looking to replace the drywall, just get rid of ugly texture.

Remodeled both sides with new bathrooms, texture, paint and flooring.

The walls have texture and I think a flat smooth surface is more desirable, will a skim coat of mud over shellac'd wall work?

Also added a backsplash and built a soffit for the cabinets, and drywalled/textured the dining room. 

He is also suggesting to hydro jetting of the drains for other units because he saw roots in some of the drains .

Make a list on a yellow pad of every picky thing that needs completion: drywall, type of texture, electrical outlets, molding, all the interior trim, I assume you have pre-fab cabinets sitting in a garage if not - you need to, doorways and door hanging, all the walkways and outside hardscape are done?
