This is a customer oriented industry and while I have some automated messages, I love to also have the personal touch (e.g. someone says it's their 20th anniversary during their stay - I like to respond to that specifically which you can't automate away).  

She most likely has a family to support and a mortgage to pay so he is looking for help on how to resolve the issue, not someone to stand on a soap box trying to guilt her  into paying to support someone who is clearly gaming the system.
