Well, they marketed well enough to get their signs ripped down, for whatever that's worth.I could also stand naked in the street with a phone number written across my *** in body paint - just because it gets attention doesn't mean it's good (or legal) marketing.

Rip out carpet and replace with tile, long term it will save you money as you won't have to ever clean or replace carpets or worry about smoke.

I have had equipment that has fallen out of warranty still get repaired/replaced free of charge because it's cheaper to keep a customer happy than deal with negative press.You don't want to be the known as the person that rips people off on legal technicalities...

I would find it hard to believe that a contractor will purchase a window that meets that criteria, rip into an exterior wall and excavate for clearance all for $1500, including the cost of supplies and labor.
