I've been reading more about subject to and here's what I've learned:-Good for sellers who are off market-Have low to no equity-Have a mortgage with a low interest rate (less than 5%)-Be absentee or out of state (vacant property, or have a tenant)The buyer would then take over the mortgage payments, and have the seller sign the deed over to the buyer.

I’ve also learned the hard way that good communication with your team and third parties is just as important as organization.

While maybe not the cheapest deal, that person emphasized the learning experience as valuable in getting into a network of lenders, contractors, agents, etc.

What I have learned is that you can borrow $50K or half your loan balance whichever is the small amount. 

It was my first purchase and it wasn’t a great deal but it was a great learning experience.
