With the 4 properties we manage in that area, I had a pipe bust in my mountain cabin, had a control board get hosed on a mini-split in a pool room due to the power outages, and PCB get fried in a multitude due to power outages.  

Houses older than that often have DIY dishwasher installs that you may have to work on a little.I made sure the dishwasher drain hose went from the dishwasher, all the way up to the underside of the countertop, and then back down to the drain connection on the disposer under the sink.

I just added more water from a garden hose to cool it down.

They even took showers with my garden hose on the side of the house.

Mainly I just wanted to ensure that I wasn't being hosed by these guys, but it sounds like most of what they do is within reason based on expert opinion.

Then I'll tell you the tools.I think you might need painting supplies, an air compressor with hoses and nailing attachments, cordless drill, circular saw, reciprocating saw, drywall screwdriver.

Then you go ahead and drink from a fire hose with all the information (albeit helpful and insightful) about the details.

If they were a stacked set in a closet, definitely leave them, and make sure you have new anti-burst supply hoses for them.

It seems to just be a small leak in my bathroom from heavy rain the night before and was trying to fix it with hydraulic cement from the inside.
