I have a local presence for showings and screenings (my wife's aunt and cousin who are licensed realtors and run both a real estate business and property management business) but do all the day-to-day management and scheduling of contractors remotely between my wife and I.

For this reason I think of Northern Virginia and Atlanta make the most sense given the presence Amazon already has there for these two businesses.

Wilmington also has a big college student presence with UNC-W being located there and the constantly growing community colleges.Not certain about the real estate market although a childhood friend of mine is a successful RE broker there. 

It would give me a space to store equipment, a roof to work under while it's raining or snowing, and a presence in the middle of our industrial sector which is doing well.I wonder if someone could give me some guidance on what to expect and pitfalls to attempt to avoid in this venture.

It was just announced that Raytheon is expanding its presence in Southern Arizona and plans to add 2,000 new jobs over the next 5 years.

We have a strong military presence here (Navy Diver training, Navy Seals Academy, Tyndall Airforce  -top gun flight school) and our International Port is expanding though it's already the largest exporter of wood pellets to Europe and copper importing to the East Coast.I mention all that to drive home the point that this area is becoming more and more of a destination attraction with amenities that were never here before.

Do you have a superior local web presence?

These agents are in business primarily to provide the required local presence for out of state folks who are creating business entities in the state, but they can service in state filers as well. 

Its presence is pulling some of its suppliers to set up shop close by.
