Have you calculated how many properties or average monthly revenue it would take to reach that goal?

A lot of times its real estate agents or investor/agent hybrids that build youtube channels for their local market and CRUSH it. like multiple deals a month.

The goal is to keep these for rentals.I currently own the land personally and am funding the builds with a combination of HELOC and cash - no bank debt tied to these properties specifically.

My hope is to build a strong network of like minded investors and real estate professionals that share similar goals, values, and experiences to help achieve successful REI deals!

The return on equity is probably very low considering they are paid off so maybe explore refinancing or selling the lowest performing one(s) or your biggest headaches to reinvest in more lucrative deals.I noticed you also used a metric of number of rentals to attain your goal rather than $$$/month.

Currently I am looking to buy and hold for the long-term with the goal of being free and clear by the time I retire ~20 yrs. 

My goal was simple: house hack, and after a year browse to hopefully repeat.

I would do some market research on top-growing cities and determine which of those cities are within your price range and cashflow goals.

LOL My wife gives me crap all the time and now my goal is to get it right through escrow. lol
