I purchased my first rental almost 3yrs ago and really embraced the "a good rental will attract good tenants" mantra.

Great tenants, great properties, and the city is really embracing it as far as regulation. 

And although its difficult for me to let go; I am getting better at it, and I am learning to embrace the need for physical & mental well being as a higher priority. 

Achieving people embrace it and focus on learning the lesson from it.

@George Skelton you are going to find that many people will recommend talking to a CPA or Lawyer about this, and it is not because we don't want to help, but more that each scenario is different based upon strategy, local and state laws, just to name a few.I experience the same road blocks and trying to figure it all out and what it comes down to is there is no set blueprint to doing REI; once you embrace this logic the sooner you can more on to becoming wealthy.  

I wish more people in our society would engage in behavior like this so that we don't have a generation of folks addicted to entitlements instead of embracing personal responsibility.

The bottom line is that you have to follow applicable rules no matter how you invest or which vehicle you use, successful investors embrace the rules for their benefits.Your statement above is too generic.

Hello all,I'm a 24 year old investor in the Charlotte market, moved down here from NYC last summer to stay with family and have really embraced this fast growing city.Want to start out by saying thanks to everyone on here, I've gained so much knowledge over the past few months from bigger pockets and was able to purchase my first property in Charlotte (with the help of an investor) .

And to MOST of all, do what I love.Because if you do not love what you do, you won't succeed, Why would you have the gift of life, and not try to embrace it?
