I still plan on paying the monthly HOA required payment but I am not intending to pay thousands I had no decision-making power on.

Then when I have more buying power, and access to more funds down the road, thats when the magic numbers and true goals come into play.

@Troy Fisher I loved your thorough analysis speaking to why leverage is so powerful! 

Not knowing how rural your land is, things like sewer, power, fire hydrant location can come into play if far from existing connections.  

Not only the Ring but maybe a remote solar powered WiFi camera that faces the door.

I don't think the complexity of what  I need to analyze really requires that level of horse-power. 

There is a learning curve but it is pretty powerful and their support is great.
