I think that all that these recent results have done is to give some of those who were "all aboard" the Obama train, with tickets firmly in hand, pause to reflect and ask the conductor when the next stop is "just in case" they need to get off.

I would further hypothesize that 50k home markets present a lesser risk of default on owner occupant buyers as the median income is often in excess of 33% of the home's price, while low enough to disqualify people from other big ticket purchases. 20% of the REOs I've gotten in 50k home markets have been from owner occupants.

That exemption doesn't mean originate a high cost mortgage or get a free ticket for predatory practice like tossing in a 2 year balloon note. 

I think it will be a lot more incremental because of the scale, legalities and the in person requirements in buying a home (this isn't a plane ticket).

@Shawn L. thanks for the feedback...i actually have a ticket written for this based on your comment from that initial thread some time ago...things haven't been moving as quickly as any of us would like but I definitely have it in the backlog and am prioritizing it as soon as we are able to work it and get it shipped.
