Receiving random communications from people asking if you are interested in selling your property are a dime dozen these days.  

That's a lot "safer" than buying a random condo in a random city. 

I didn't want to just put some random person in a bad situation (both for ethical reasons and for liability).  

The children are not random, they are related to the boyfriend, who would be a co-applicant.

I just pick one at random??

I only refer my handyman to people I know, not random people.

I'm not at all a fan of cultured marble countertops because random soaps and products can discolor and damage them, and the 80s swirl is so out, but I've had good luck with shower surrounds and tubs.

I'd hate to have to put up with some tenants for 3 years...their games get old.I would not consider paying for referrals unless you are in a rental saturated market where units sit unrented for months on end, and even then, you should sell and invest elsewhere.I get calls weekly asking at random if I have a unit to rent.
