Well Tim, since I have not done the work needed to have an opinion on what the future will hold vis-a-vis COVID-19, never mind the mental bandwidth to engage in the second and third order thinking needed to make an estimation of how the a group of yet unknown people will view this thread at some undetermined date, I haven't and will not offer my opinion, since it would add nothing to the collective conversation.

Everyone has there place in this world and in business and we have to respect where people are mentally emotionally financially and not speculate that because someone lives paycheck to paycheck that means they aren’t a quality contractor.

I’m more focused on building relationships with people I can do continued business with, which is why I’m planning to solely work with real estate professionals.Obviously all of this will be tested in real life and I’m assuming there will be a ton of changes, but like I said right now I’m trying to better define my mental model of what kind of business I’ll have.

Could I claim the exclusion on the rental and partial on the primary, at which point my wife has never claimed an exclusion or is there more reasonable guidance.My claim is that due the theft of my car and the burden placed on me financially and mentally qualifies as an unforeseeable event that caused me to move to a cheaper safer house.My tax preparer disagreed and has asked that I pick up my paper work.

That would make it a full. mentally, I am shut down until about May of 2021, planning to stay long term rental until at least then. all I have left is a 30-foot motorhome, which is on short term rental as well as RV rental sites but I haven't had a serious nibble yet.
