Frozen pipes can be a devastating blow to your wallet and bank account, especially when it seems to never leave.

But the 25yr old unit was down a LB or so & the old 'freon' charge/LB is expensive.We had to thaw out the frozen A-frame & he was here about a hour.$150.His cost for a completely new system installed is $1750, so we will wait 'til next year.

But that included my dad getting his RE license going to work for a brokerage in CA.. in 36 months he was top producer and opened his own firm.And he did by marketing ( his prior job was marketing manager and sales manager for Bridgeport frozen breads)  and then developing his own version of  yellow letters..

@patrick Liska I agree, I suspect they had previously frozen.

Those things are "credit" and credit can be frozen when markets get messy re: 2007-2008.Good luck.

If you can get a loan which will be tough because the credit markets will be near frozen. 

Sometimes syndications have "frozen" investor's redemptions based on the need of the syndication's requirement for capital.

And your state's extension office indicates small items may be frozen to sterilize them (but it looks like 0 degrees): http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/insects/find/c...I would look at treating any attics, crawlspaces, and garages, too.
