It all went well because we had a really close friendship but definitely is better to have a plan beforehand for any future scenario.

Definitely in a position to learn the CRE side of things and see how we could build a positive and lasting partnership/friendship.

What I have experienced is great friendships, like-minded people, and those interested in learning and growing.

It's a different feel if they see you ripping up carpet, painting, swapping out cabinets, etc.I know that it's not as popular to say that, but you have to earn their respect, trust, and friendship to get a solid team at a distance.

If the only reason is you are all carpenters, the partnership will not survive.First, I recommend you understand these formulas:1 -  Friend + ship = friendship2 -  Partner + ship = Partnership...if you subtract "ship" from both formulas, you'll find that...                       

This personal investment could come through a friendship ("I like you and want you to succeed"), through a common business enterprise ("We work for the same company and I want this company to succeed") or even something less tangible ("You remind me of my son and it makes me feel good to help you"). - A coach charges money -- this isn't to say that the coach doesn't have some vested interest in seeing you succeed (regardless of the continued payments), but it likely means that the coach makes some/all of his living doing this and can't afford to just give away his time. - There is absolutely nothing wrong with either model, assuming you get at least as much as you pay for (if you pay more than the value you get, then there's an issue).

Have CLEAR well thought out rules and you will hold more friendships.  

No relation between Greg and I but we all can surely build lasting friendships/partnerships.

Friendships with your competition open the door to many possibilities!

@Edward Stephens, like this nobody ever will get motivated to start something ;-)@Jeulissa Gonzales, he is partly right though.Some things to have in mind when renting by the room is that there are all kinds of different people living in the same house which could get friction (by the way, a lot of times it also leads to friendships or even entrepreneurs that start a business together like it was in my case).
