I would just say that if you go to one where you quickly get the vibe the organizer is trying to sell something (i.e. some kind of coaching or get rich quick whatever...) get out of there...meetups should be about networking, sharing opportunities etc...IMHO not about selling your fellow REIA members....if anyone disagrees I'd welcome the input

They will make the rent check to you because you're the acting owner, but any problems arising (especially when it comes time to raise rates) will not directly anchor to an image of you high-rolling in Vegas whilst sinisterly rubbing your hands together.

The building is actually a fully rehabbed coach house (5 years ago), the original main living structure was removed.
