When you start out you will need to find a CPA who either is an investor or understand the investor philosophy of taxes.  

I do not own any but before the crisis I had an interest in them and have still been looking up info about the ideas and philosophies behind them.

My philosophy is cheap with big business/government. 

And I agree, I don’t think it’s a bad option, we just would need to change our current building philosophy to make it happen.

As far as your investment philosophy, is there a reason why you are sticking with the single family or duplex market? 

I usually stick with an under promises, over deliver philosophy.

The biggest drawback is the high cost of the local properties if I go with the "purchase properties I would live in" philosophy. 

I have a different philosophy.  

Their only philosophy is "We deserve X", but they do not know how to build or create X.  

I have researched turnkey providers on this forum for awhile now and I am aware of the and pros/cons, so I am less looking for the philosophy because I know everyone on BP has an opinion on this.
