As we mature as Investors we need sound professional advice for structuring taxes, structuring , insurances, hedging risks, leveraging funds, and transacting in RE, and  all of those services are isolated by different professional licenses. 

Here is the big difference between people lke me.. and people like you.People like me isolate motivated sllers, and then target them.

Ben,If the electrical is like what I have seen in most hotels, there is no cost effective way to sub-meter/isolate individual rooms.  

This isn't isolated to RE either, and there is always something "bad" about to happen.

If you think isolating an entire house or apt is appropriate for a simple small DRAIN leak, then I am glad I am not your or the OPs tenant. 

.- Also when buying a unit, try to ensure that there aren't any isolated zones or arms hanging out in an exterior wall or something and if there are think about ways to mitigate them.

As far as birds burning up, that has happened in a few isolated incidents with concentrated solar farms in the Mojave desert, which is a completely different technology than rooftop solar.

Isolated instances always exist, but finding them is like finding a needle in a haystack.  

I could be overreacting and hopefully this is an isolated incident.My wife's initial comment to me was:"If someone is gonna commit murder in my home I would like an advanced notice"

@Liron Burrack, I think you need to identify a consumer for your product before you start trying to isolate neighborhoods.
