And just as the Gov't protects the banks from robbery, they protect them from RE investors (right or wrong that';s the way it is).So this makes you a target.They are not bowing at your feet because, at least in CA, for every short sale you buy, there are 10 regular buyers bidding on that same property - just not with cash.

The obvious response would be smaller investors have to sit on their property paying mortgages until the banks decided to hand over the development, building, or villa compound.

Crown molding sometimes makes the transitions look better in this situation (and sometimes joint compound and tape works good enough too).Otherwise, you have to be in some upscale area to make these amenities a factor.

Once you understand the time value of money and the effects of compounding, I think you'll agree that there is no reason to accept break-even cash flow when the alternative is positive cash flow (again, assuming it's not an appreciation play).Just my $.02...

Meth is a bad compound and a esquire/judge/jury would destroy a greedy R/E investor for not getting it tested if disclosed before selling or especially knowingly renting it that might expose the poor tenant to long term exposure....
