I did conversions and what you are doing for 5 years in my market in every combination including condo projects. 

Normally, for condo associations, most of the building is deemed common elements. 

Take that money and buy RE in other growing markets, stocks, bonds, index funds, high yield savings, or probably a combination of it all.
