The current lease does not mention anything about visitors staying longer than 14 days.

At the showing, in speaking to the visitors, asked them what else they looked at, and how does mine compare.

Like overnight guests, visitors,  quiet hours, cleaning responsibilities, shoes no shoes in the house etc. 

I spent money and starting getting better tenants and paid attention to visitors that did not belong there and ran off the undeseribles that hung around there .

If we allow pets for our rentals and let's say the pet bit a visitor is the landlord held liable?

I'd suggest a site visit, or like Michael Tincher suggested, get someone on location to be your feet on the ground. 

Not running off guests who overstay the visitor clause in the lease.
