The membrane applied to the entire roof surface protects the wood against moisture, and the ice and water shied in the valleys and along the perimeter prevents damage from possible ice damming.

All this needs to be done before we insulate otherwise we risk moisture getting in the walls and trapped being the vapour barrier.

It seems like moisture is what we want to avoid between the sub floor and vinyl plank floor.

A client of mine is closing on a triplex in Dunedin/North Clearwater on the 31st but there is some work to be done including some moisture behind drywall, minor repairs, and will eventually need a rehab on 2 of the bathrooms, floors, paint, and perhaps a kitchen or 2 and we need a contractor (or at least a plumber) to take a look and give us a quote to repair and the options/severity of the leak. 

Everyone i spoke to did not replace wire.just remember; all drywall 12 inches above flood line, cabinets, doors, flooring(tile should be fine), maybe the a/c equipment, window stools, baseboard, insulation, outlets (at least) and it took us 3 months with multiple fans and humidifiers running to get all the wood back to acceptable moisture content.

Now, the tiles are coming up, there is moisture from the floors and moisture behind the drywall leading to mold.

It also serves as moisture barrier.

Since then, we have been trying to figure out what's causing the smell and have heard from a mold specialist that it is not mold.Yesterday we decided to cut out the bottom of the cabinet and discovered some moisture in the subfloor under the cabinet.

Also, a friend of mine (who came over and was going to give me a quote for installing some quarter rounds) and I noticed that throughout the living room and bedrooms there's some water/moisture around the baseboards.

If the existing siding is rotten, you could have problems with it staying secured and excess moisture later on.
