I hear and see constant success stories from people that get deals left and right.And in all honesty, I started this adventure to make money so I can fund my own robotics research and build exoskeletons that can actually make this forsaken planet a better place.

I have money, I need backers, I live in one of the hottest markets on the planet.

Or their work ethic is not yours, or they are having a bad day, things can get toxic.  

Take that thinking to the extreme and its clarity is pure:  if 5 people on the planet know that you are a realtor, you might get a listing every 3 years.  

If my market was my grandmother's house, I want to make sure that I know more about that situation than anybody else on the planet.  

Mercer.com, the most respected city rating from on the planet, has put it at the bottom of their "Quality of Living" in America list for over ten years (Detroit finally took the bottom spot). 

This is one of the primary reasons that self storage loans default less often than any other real estate backed mortgage on the planet (including single family owner occupied homes).

However the planets and the moon didn't line up for me at that time.

@Shannon Sadik you are on a different planet than Aaron and I.  

I believe this is "the best" outcome with these toxic assets.
