Demand and occupancy appears strong, but the numbers don't add up for me to justify the effort of STR.

A lot of private or hard money lenders won’t mind if you live in the property while you’re fixing it up, as long as you meet their terms.

There are a lot of fly by night outfits up here unfortunately.

It could be anything... a mistake in estimating, a cost overrun, or something like the place burns down and the insurance wasn't properly taken out, or theft (of the money outright) or theft of materials along the way.    

Our average monthly revenue is $2,675.We have had 46 stays so, $4,600 in cleaning fees (the cleaning fees are included in the avg $2,675 monthly revenue) If we have someone clean it, it costs $100.
