Hello beautiful people of BP,My wife an I have talked a while about moving more into the heart of KC, but we've hesitated with a little one in tow (<1 year old ) and the current state of the public KCMO school system.

That is the beauty of investing in real estate! 

I've never been to Kansas but I've heard it's beautiful.

There was a local bar that had, from what I was told, a beautiful apartment above it.

I use to work in downtown Cincy at the P&G headquarters back in the early 90's-- it's a beautiful city. 

As Amazon is busy having a city selecting beauty pageant, Apple is quietly negotiating a deal in RTP, North Carolina.The Apple deal is 10,000 jobs and $2B investment.

Locals pay a premium for such a beautiful area! 

But It’s absolutely a beautiful place now.

With that being said, I have still walked away from properties that penciled out beautifully because it was in terrible neighborhoods or was next to something I couldn't fathom living next to (even if only for a year or two).For you, I would say that you have to continue to consider all factors that would make your first investment a good one as well as those that will make you comfortable living there.
