@Mike Conklin Been renting units for clients and for my own investments here in CT for a while and I have never had someone rent or not rent an apartment based on the type of cooking heating source.The quality of appliance may matter to a tenant, new vs beat up, stainless vs plain white, etc.I would say just go with whatever source you prefer and don't get caught up in what the prospective tenant will think.

Currently, I invest in SFs and location is very important for any prospective properties - 1) because it may attract a certain tenant (ie. great school district, or close to a college campus) and may also help me avoid certain tenants that might be troublesome and 2) future resale/appreciation.I am interested in pursuing MFs, and I find some really great cash flowing properties in my city (and out of state), but they are located on the edge of what might be considered less desirable part(s) of town.

@Mark Benevento it won't hurt to call the Realtor back, see what type of prospective tenant they have, it may be exactly someone that fits perfectly in your property.
