Try sending a letter to where you normally send rent  explaining your desire to stay and misunderstanding with the lease renewal.  

There are numerous reasons for this including input error, seller misunderstandings all the way down to malicious intent.

Hi @Daniel Porter, I might be misunderstanding your question but as far as I know (which isn't a whole lot yet) to get approved with a cosigner, your cosigner will still need to meet the basic qualifying guidelines.

Sounds like a big misunderstanding.
