Over the last few years I have been learning a lot about leadership and mentorship at the same time that I have been learning more and more about real estate.

Detroit has some very strong investors, and some REALLY cool architecture, and a lot of skill sets that might translate to specialty manufacturing and high tech.The leadership after decades of terrible corruption seems to be a improved.

It all depends where you are on the totem pole for investing.

That is terrible Scott but at least he had the guts to take leadership.

That's alotta No s, but what you are left with is great local content and great networking.We're big supporters of Bigger Pockets, and as a matter, of fact, while I had been in a leadership or ownership role of two other REIAs in the past, it was a conversation with Josh Dorkin that led to what Black Diamond is now. 

Not much of one to promote any candidate as I try to stay away from politics as much as possible, but I grew up in NYC and have never seen or heard of a politician in our generation that had the leadership skills as Rudy.When its written of how Rudy cleaned up NYC I don't think most who weren't there really understand how much he cleaned up the city.

LEED = Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.It's a green building rating system developed by the USGBC (United States Green Building Council).Currently there are 4 levels of certification.

It's my experience volunteering in leadership at my local REI that there are very few examples of students going from zero to quiting their job on only a few $100's of training and in only 6 months.
