The goals that I hope to achieve through real estate investing are: 1) to provide a cash flow stream for my mother as she gets older and requires assisted living or nursing home facilities, 2) provide a cash flow stream for my younger brother (who has Down's Syndrome) as he gets older and requires assisted living facilities and increased medical attention, and 3) provide a means of early retirement for me and my older brother.While listening to BP podcast #276 (my favorite) the other morning, I had that lightbulb moment of how to get started in real estate investing.

@Thomas Hausfeld welcome - have a few buddies that graduated from Bishop Caroll as well as my mother - but WAY before your time...ha - Take some RE classes as electives at WSU - they have some pretty good teachers - the head of the RE dept is a great guy - can learn lots from him and get a few doors opened if RE is what you're interested in.

On the other hand, if the area is known for mold and moisture due to the proximity of the ocean, and the house didn't have mold when the tenant moved in, and nothing is leaking (i.e. from another unit) and the heating/cooling system works, I would imagine it's either mother nature or the tenant that is causing the mold now.
