I've managed multiple full resides and it's not rocket science.

Self Storage has its nuances but it is not rocket science.  

That makes turnover costs (paint, and carpet) sky rocket.

Land within the city limits has sky-rocketed I my partner and I made some good move gobbling up a bunch of infill and another 22 acres or so of raw land.... one 18+ acre plot (which the city just annexed into the city!!!) 

In the last 150 years we've managed to come from a Horse and Plow to a John Deer, from a Horseless Carriage to an Automobile, from a Bi Plane to a Super Sonic Jet to a rocket to the Moon and back, from the Mayflower to the Queen Mary II. from Black & White TV to Big Screen 3DHDTV, from Super Mario Brothers to an MP3, from a "Big Momma" IBM that took up a square block on Wall & Broad to a tiny IWatch. 

If you or I lent a 40 year old rocket scientist with a Ph.D a million dollars for a rental property commanding $500/month in rent, and there was no other income, they would call it "predatory lending" at best, and possibly investigate for fraud (for self evident good reasons).Yet somehow it's OK to lend teenagers $200k for degrees with little to no value?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to install a water meter.I would find out what the RE taxes are on the park and fix my evaluation.  

Next chart is of foreign investor inflows.As you can see here real estate foreign direct investment has sky rocketed lately.  

Case in point: Over the five years that ended in July, the median home price has rocketed up 94 percent in San Mateo County, 74 percent in Santa Clara County and 67 percent in San Francisco, according to figures from the CoreLogic real estate information service.

You can imagine a space shuttle engineer saying "ignite all rockets" and then one rocket doesn't go off -- uh oh.
