Besides renting to Airbnb many want to lease to high tech workers on month to month.

Anyhow, I don't know enough about commercial real estate to provide any comment there, but can say that I already see tech companies delving into the residential side.  

I'm Tech alum and I instantly fell in love with the real estate market out there!

The latter is due to the wealth effect as we have seen a tight job market in tech, more IPOs and acquisitions of startups plus record highs in stocks of local tech companies.

In what forms or apps or websites do most use to accept rent in this age of new tech?

Looks like the military is putting serious faith in Austin as a tech incubator.

Furnished rentals work well in studios especially and can net substantially higher rent than a long term lessee (the hotel room effect).Would target key tech areas to get all the interns and other busy spots near downtown / Santana Row.

The last few years we've seen several large employment centers move to Bham and it's lately been somewhat of an under the radar hot bed for tech startups (not to mention Shipt) - overall it has, and always has had, a strong entrepreneurial presence. 

Instead my kid will have a giant party anytime someone older than him croaks due to the growing family estate.The power of REI works in crazy ways!

My personal experience of VRBO guests is they are older and not as tech-savvy as my Airbnb guests.
