If you think of an old school investment club where members get together every month to discuss and vet stock investments and then invest together, it's like that, but instead of stocks we focus on passive real estate investments. 

DEC 12, 2023Good news for Greater Toledo homeowners and all concerned with prosperity here comes from Realtor.com’s forecast for 2024.Economists for the largest online real estate website predict Toledo will be the hottest home market in the nation next year.Affordability and stability are behind the Realtor.com projection of 8.3 percent price gain for Toledo homes in 2024.

Somebody could invest $100 into the stock market today, get lucky and gain 30% in one day. 

I know this probably makes this more difficult in ways, but could it not provide more housing stock in Los Angeles?

One way to look at that is that the stock market (long term) averages a 7% return.  

But it still beats the stock market in my opinion.

I am considering selling ~$300k in stock that I've accumulated over the past 10 years.

You can cashflow all day there with a property manager and you should always have a rent check coming in with a duplex with predictable linear appreciation.Pull cash out from the duplex and buy another one or buy in Miami if prices soften there to the point where it makes more sense to buy than rent.To your success!
